Does this sound familiar?
Everyone around is talking about a topic you know nothing about. So you just nod and smile (or grimace… or frown… or laugh… it all depends on the mood around) when people are having this discussion, and wisely excuse yourself before anyone has the chance to ask you opinion. You promise to go home and Google the topic, but inevitably forget because there is a new Jennifer Lawrence interview or some celebrity had a baby and you’ve got to see the pics! (Don’t tell me you haven’t Googled North West’s baby pics… and yes, she’s adorable.)
If this sounds like a situation you’ve been in, someone out there has your back. The Washington Post does this great series called “9 Questions.” They are questions you’d feel embarrassed to ask because everyone around you just seems to know so darn much about the topic.
